Changelog

What's new in Celebrant Central.

The changes that make a difference to your day, newest first. We left out the technical housekeeping, so what's here is what you might notice when you log in.

October 2026

  • The Legalities tab now shows a Party records missing notice when a ceremony has no client records for the couple. It explains that certificates and legal documents would print with blank names, and links to the ceremony overview so you can add them.
  • A brand-new quote now opens as Create Quote with a Quote Details section. Add Service opens Add New Item. Editing an existing quote or item still says Edit.
  • In Record Payment, ticking GST Included now fills in the GST amount for you. The Reference hint reads "Reference (optional)" and is no longer cut off.

  • In the couple's portal, a home address entered manually in the guided Notice of Intended Marriage form now stays put when they save. Reopening the form no longer shows an empty address box.
  • Saving Ceremony Details with an empty partner slot no longer adds a client called "Unnamed".
  • Team members you have given access to your ceremonies can now delete a ceremony.

  • When you change a ceremony's date, the due dates in its Legalities section now move with it straight away.
  • The quote and invoice editors have a "Settings this quote uses" (or "this invoice uses") panel with links to your payment, GST and business details settings. The links open in a new tab, so nothing you're editing is lost.
  • If a couple accepts their quote while you have Convert to Booking open, the conversion no longer adds a second set of partners. A quote accepted at the same moment as a conversion is now recorded as accepted.
  • When a ceremony's status changes, its workflow emails (such as the booking confirmation) are sent once only.
  • Your setup progress can now reach 100% when the checklist is finished. It could stall at 94%.
  • Small fixes: the leads list says "Showing 0 results" when a search finds nothing, Settings → Integrations has a page title in the browser tab, typing /register takes you to the signup page, and the setup questions' error messages read more cleanly.

  • The welcome tour now ends by spotlighting your setup checklist. The spotlight stays lined up with the highlighted item, and the Next and Finish buttons are no longer cut off at the bottom of the screen.
  • On the BDM Form Prefill card in Settings → Integrations, the green "Connected" badge now shows only when a browser really has the extension connected.
  • The calendar's arrows, Today button, view switcher and filter are bigger and easier to tap on a phone.
  • In the calendar's Month view, a busy day no longer spills over the week below. Each day shows its first item and a "+N more" link that opens the full list inside the day.

  • You now get a "Checklist Item Completed" notification when a couple ticks off an item on their portal checklist.
  • Cancelling a ceremony now removes its event (and its tasks' events) from your connected Google Calendar. Restoring the ceremony puts them back.
  • Payment plans date each instalment correctly. Instalments set to "after the previous payment" or "after the quote is accepted" no longer count from the ceremony date.
  • A new payment schedule opens with two 50% instalments, so it adds up to 100% straight away. The task dependency dropdown is also wider.
  • Fully paid instalments and invoices no longer carry an orange "Due" label on the Quotes & contracts tab.
  • An email that never went out, for example to a blocked address, now shows as Undelivered in Correspondence, with the reason.
  • Quiet Hours now holds back notification emails until your quiet hours end.
  • Emails telling you a booking form, questionnaire or payment has come in now show the time in your timezone.
  • Opening a conversation in Messages no longer scrolls the whole page. The conversation you have open is highlighted in a softer tint, and a new message in it is marked read straight away.
  • A Form 15 printed before the 1 October change no longer appears as an outstanding deadline on the dashboard or in the ceremony's completion check.

  • You can now restore a cancelled ceremony. A banner under the ceremony header has a Restore ceremony button, and the status menu offers Restore to Booked (or Restore to Postponed when the ceremony has no date). Paused workflow tasks pick up again. Automated emails whose send date passed while the ceremony was cancelled stay paused, so nothing old goes out to your clients.
  • A finished pipeline bar now has a collapse button, so you can fold it back up after opening it.
  • A logo with a transparent background is now saved with its transparency, and a wide logo opens fitted whole in the logo cropper. If you uploaded a transparent logo earlier and it shows a black background, upload it again.
  • The sample wedding no longer drops from 50% to about 19% complete the first time you open it. Step 12 of the welcome tour ("What Your Clients See") now fits the window and greets your own sample couple.
  • On the days clocks change for daylight saving, payment and ceremony reminders no longer come out an hour early.
  • Changing only a partner's address in Ceremony Details now saves.
  • People you invite to your team can accept the invitation and set up their login again.
  • A Form 15 printed before the 1 October change no longer shows as the next thing to do on the Legalities tab.

  • Form 15s that were marked as printed now show as Issued under Completed in Legalities, and the "N of M complete" count includes them.
  • Automatic payment reminders no longer end with two sign-offs. If you have an email signature set, it is used instead of the closing in your reminder wording.
  • Delete task on a ceremony's workflow now removes the task from the screen as soon as you confirm. If a delete fails, you see an error message.
  • Team members you have given access to your ceremonies can do more on them, instead of seeing "not found". They can change the ceremony type, confirm a legacy ceremony date, revert a ceremony to a lead, duplicate it, record a deposit as received, look up the venue's map location, send a Notice of Intended Marriage back to the couple for changes, and email a document using one of your email templates.
  • Team members can also tick and edit the client checklist, work with a ceremony's legal documents and Form 15s, upload or remove Notice of Intended Marriage and supporting documents, and see and work with the ceremony's emails. Signatures and the activity log still record which team member did it.

  • Settings now opens on the "Start here" film, with a row of stage buttons for picking which explainer films to show. The Explainer videos page uses the full width of the screen and shows each stage as a grid of film cards.
  • The film player is cleaner. Films no longer show two lines of subtitles, and on a computer the player has its own simple controls: play and pause, a seek bar, mute and full screen.
  • In the profile menu, Send Feedback opens the feedback form on every screen size, and Help & Support opens an email to support.
  • Take a Tour now offers three tours: Welcome, Creating Ceremonies and Calendar Features. Each tour opens on its own page, wherever you start it from, and replaying a finished tour keeps it marked as done.
  • Marking the Declaration of No Legal Impediment as signed, or marking evidence as completed (identity, birth evidence, previous marriage), now asks When was this completed? You can catch up on paperwork after the fact without it being stamped with today's date. The date can't be later than the ceremony day.
  • The Official Certificate preview now ticks the description and conjugal-status boxes, shows the parents' birth names, and gives a clearer address hint.
  • Team members working in your account can open a ceremony's status options and status history, and its client-portal access and settings.
  • Each "Do it later" button on the dashboard setup checklist now says which item it is for, which helps screen readers.

Launch

Launch, 1 October 2026

Celebrant Central launched on 1 October 2026.

  • Choosing Delete task on a ceremony's workflow now asks you to confirm first. Removing a step in the workflow template editor asks too.
  • The dashboard WORKFLOW tile now counts the tasks on all your booked ceremonies, not just the nearest few.
  • Rows in Legalities update as soon as you act. Marking the Declaration of No Legal Impediment as printed or signed, or changing a Form 15's status, no longer needs a page reload.
  • The summary at the top of Legalities only says "Everything is on track except one thing" when exactly one item is left. Otherwise it reads "A few items still need your attention, starting with…"
  • When you mark a Notice of Intended Marriage as received, the Date received box starts empty and a date after the ceremony is refused. The identity reminder now says identity must be confirmed before the ceremony, not before the notice is lodged. Once the notice is received, the Declaration row no longer says the notice is not lodged yet, and the notice row drops its red due date and NEXT badge.
  • Mark as printed on a Form 15 now appears only once a certificate number is assigned. Once you mark it printed, the row shows as issued and counts as complete.
  • When you convert a lead to a booking, the Booking Confirmation step now shows DONE straight away, and the booking review list only shows steps that still need your decision.
  • Address details on a couple's booking form now land in the right fields (street, suburb, state, postcode), and a reopened form shows the full address.
  • Record Payment opened from a ceremony now lists only that ceremony's invoices, and the payment date reads day-first, like "Thu, 1 Oct 2026".
  • Editing a workflow step timed from the ceremony now shows Before ceremony or After ceremony in the Relative to box, and saving keeps its timing.
  • Deleting a resource template in Settings → Resource Templates works again.
