How your first ceremony works in Celebrant Central

This film creates one ceremony from nothing, on a new account with no ceremonies on it, in the real app. The couple's names, where, and the date, and it's booked the moment it's saved. Watch the tasks before the day, and the Legalities tab, where every legal document for the ceremony lives, arrive dated from that one date: the questionnaire, the Notice of Intended Marriage, the script, the final payment, the declaration, the Form 15 certificate and the official certificate. Then the date changes once, and every one of those dates moves with it. That's the whole idea of the product, in one screen.

Step by step

1. Start from an empty ceremonies list and click New Ceremony. Type the couple's names and choose the kind of ceremony: a wedding, in this film.

   

2. The workflow attaches itself to the ceremony type, so a wedding gets the wedding workflow without a separate click.

3. Add a phone number and email address, drop a pin on the venue, then set the date and time. Everything else on the ceremony hangs off this one date.

   

4. Create the ceremony and it's booked immediately: the new row appears on the list within a second, already marked Booked.

5. Open the ceremony's own page and the countdown has already started. With an email address on file, the booking confirmation has already gone out, sent by the app the moment the ceremony was created.

6. Look down the left, at the Workflow Pipeline, the column that tracks every task from booking through to the day. The script, the questionnaire, the Notice of Intended Marriage, the final paperwork and the final payment each carry a date, worked out from the ceremony date. Nobody counted backwards to set them.

   

7. The legal side works the same way. Open the Legalities tab, where every legal document for the ceremony lives, and the Notice of Intended Marriage sits first, dated with room to spare before the one-month line the law draws. Identity, the declaration, and closer to the day the Form 15 certificate and the official certificate, follow behind it, each with its own date.

   

8. Change the date once, from Ceremony Details, and every one of those dates moves with it: the pipeline and the Legalities tab both pick up the new date without a reload. Keep the ceremony and put your first couple on it, or delete it and start again. That's the whole idea, in one screen.
